ABOUT THIS 2 DAY TRAINING
Function, function, function. Insurance companies are starting to squawk about the lack of functional progressions seen in many rehab facilities, especially in the aquatic setting. They think you are "treading water" or merely marking time in the pool. As a skilled therapist, you know better. Not only is the pool an appropriate treatment venue; often the pool is the ideal place to practice function... and not just during the early days of rehab.
This course will focus on exploring the spine, lower extremity and upper extremity as the functional chains they were meant to be. It will examine aquatic to land-based progressions for both orthopedic and neurological clients, including the post-injury, post-surgical, chronic pain and neurologically impaired populations. Special attention will be paid on justifying any time spent in water and on implementing a seamless transition to land. This class is an aquatic and land-based intensive, with over 12 hours spent in hands-on skill mastery.
